ListenApp is a registered Community Interest Company founded in England and Wales, with over eight years of experience working across the UK and South Africa in abuse prevention, trauma recovery, and victim support.

Three disciplines, one mission
Our team combines direct clinical work with survivors, technological expertise, and over eight years working in abuse prevention and victim support across the UK and South Africa. We aren't a tech company that discovered a social problem, we are a team that lived the problem first.
Our expertise
Qualified across disciplines
Our team brings together clinical, technological, and philanthropic expertise, united by a shared commitment to ending abuse.
Team members are qualified in Abuse Awareness and Prevention, Counselling, Hypnotherapy, and Trauma Recovery. We hold membership with the British Psychological Society and have undertaken advanced training in trauma-informed practice, including Gestalt Working with Trauma, Hypnotherapy for Trauma and PTSD, MindBody Trauma and Recovery, and Integral Eye Movement Therapy.
Alongside our clinical work, we have spent years on the frontline: supporting victims directly, working in partnership with domestic abuse charities, and participating in sector-wide policy dialogue including SafeLives' Monthly Sector Call, Ending Domestic Violence: Long-Term Strategy forums, and Public Policy Exchange events.
Through both professional and personal experience of abuse, the need for better support is not abstract to us. It is what drives everything we build.
To bring ListenApp to life, we work with trusted technology and philanthropic partners including Codes Orbit, Direction Forward, Metric, and Canvas Philanthropy, combining deep sector knowledge with the technical expertise to deliver it.
