Set up & onboarding
Your organisation receives a unique access code, licence portal access, and onboarding information to share with users. We support your team to understand the app so users can make an informed decision and set it up safely.
Ongoing support & insight
We remain available for support and can provide anonymised usage reporting, depending on your partnership package, to help you understand uptake and engagement. We also use partner and user feedback to guide ongoing development.
Privacy by design
Audio recordings are stored on the user's device and are not uploaded to ListenApp's servers. We minimise the personal information we collect and handle service data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection requirements. Where reporting is provided to partner organisations, it is designed to provide useful insight without sharing users' recordings or the content of private incidents.
Built with survivors, backed by charities
ListenApp works with organisations supporting people affected by domestic abuse, helping us ensure the technology reflects real-world safeguarding needs. We work alongside The Paul Lavelle Foundation, Her Centre, Tomorrow's Women, DASH Charity, and Savera UK, with additional support from ManKind Initiative, SafeLives, and Ask for Angela.
Safety & current limitations
What partners need to know
ListenApp is designed as an additional safety tool, not a replacement for professional support, emergency services or an individual's safety plan.
The current version is available on Android. An internet connection is required for voice-trigger processing and SMS alerts. Voice recognition can be affected by factors including background noise, microphone position and connectivity. Calls made to 999 through the app will appear in the phone's normal call history.
We explain these limitations clearly to partner organisations so they can be incorporated into safe onboarding and individual safety planning.
Now moving into frontline use
ListenApp is now available on Android and is being introduced through partner organisations to people accessing domestic abuse and support services.
Alongside delivery, we are gathering partner feedback and anonymised usage information to improve onboarding, accessibility and future development. Further development includes iOS and additional accessibility features.

Insights Partner
£599/month
Everything in Core, plus anonymised aggregate demographic insights such as age bands, gender and broad location.
Impact Partner
£799/month
Everything in Insights, plus deeper anonymised reporting including usage frequency, cross-feature engagement, alert counts, trigger activity, engagement trends and impact-reporting insights.
